Common Questions
It is normal to feel a bit anxious when thinking on starting therapy, for that reason, I thought it would be good to answer some questions here. Please make sure to email me or call me if some of your questions are not answered here.
Will my insurance cover therapy?
I don't accept insurance directly, but I'm happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. The superbill includes all the necessary details, such as session dates and treatment codes, so you can check with your insurer about out-of-network benefits.
What will my first visit look like?
During your first visit, you will be expected to complete paperwork regarding office policies, payment, insurance, confidentiality forms, etc.
After these forms, and initial intake assessment will take place, this is just a fancy word to describe the process where I find out the reason for you seeking therapy and what are some of your goals and expectations from therapy.
My goal is that you will feel comfortable with this process and that together we can embark in a journey to help you live a happier, healthier, and BETTER LIFE.
How can I make the most of my experience in therapy?
While I'm trained to help you make insights into your life experiences, explore your feelings, and encourage you to work towards your goals, something to remember and keep in mind as we walk this path together is that YOU hold the power to change your life!
We will work together to find your individual tools that will help you reach your goals.
Being committed to this process will ensure that you get the most out of therapy.
